Our Work In Action
Growing Our Circle, Welcoming Our Newest Members
Rooted in Community: Our Partnership with Roosevelt Area Middle School
Since our chapter's founding in April 2022, we have been eager to open our doors to the extraordinary women who would carry our mission forward. On May 17, 2025, we reached a proud milestone; inducting our first new chapter members since we were chartered. Welcoming these remarkable women into our sisterhood was a moment of pure joy, deep pride, and renewed purpose. The Greater Twin Cities (MN) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is stronger, bolder, and more vibrant because of them!

Walk for a Healthy Living

Every year, we join Links chapters across the country in the Walk for Healthy Living walk-a-thon, a nationwide movement to raise awareness for health and wellness in our communities. Lacing up our shoes alongside our friends near and far, we walk with purpose, with pride, and with the shared belief that a healthier community is a stronger community.

The Walk for Healthy Living reflects one of our chapter's deepest commitments; meeting our community where they are and championing the whole health of the people we serve. Because when we walk together, we move everyone forward.
Some of the most meaningful work happens when you show up consistently, intentionally, and with open hearts. We are proud of our committed, ongoing collaboration with Roosevelt Area Middle School, where we have brought enriching programming directly to young people who inspire us every time we walk through those doors.
Our members have introduced students to yoga and meditation, powerful tools for centering the mind, managing stress, and building emotional resilience.
Cultural Education

Supporting Our Neighbors: Nourish Food Shelf

We have filled hallways with the heartbeat of African drumming, connecting youth to a rich cultural legacy while teaching rhythm, discipline, and the beauty of collective expression. Through a wide range of life skills and cultural empowerment programming, we have worked alongside these students to help them discover their strength, their heritage, and their potential.

We believe that when young people feel seen, supported, and connected to something larger than themselves, they rise. Our chapter remains committed to showing up for the youth of our community, because the next generation of leaders deserves nothing less.
Nourish is a vital community food shelf serving the Frogtown/Rondo neighborhood in St. Paul, founded by one of our charter members, Andrea Thomas, in 2020. Every month, chapter members volunteer at the food shelf, welcoming families without appointments or visit limits.
Nourish has distributed nearly 1 million pounds of food through close to 15,000 household visits, benefiting approximately 60,000 individuals.
The organization's mission centers on removing the stigma around nutrition support while making healthy food accessible to all community members. Nourish now provides 40% of all food distributed by food shelves in the Frogtown/Rondo area, serving nearly 300 families each week.
