Celebrating Our Beginnings
Founded on April 30, 2022, the Greater Twin Cities (MN) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated began with 32 visionary women committed to strengthening the Twin Cities' Black community through friendship and service. Born from a spark of inspiration during a 2019 HBCU networking event, the chapter's formation was guided by founding members Dr. Kristin Morris and Rosemond Sarpong Owens, with mentorship from Dr. Delores Henderson, the 14th Central Area Director of The Links, Incorporated. Before their official chartering, these dedicated women served as the Torches of the Twin Cities, working tirelessly to address disparities in education, food security, and community wellness while fostering meaningful connections among Black women leaders across the greater metropolitan area.
